Around this time last year, I put together a post about Pantone’s chosen color of the year, which at that time was green and I wasn’t too ecstatic about that one. This year Pantone’s prediction is still a little bold, but way more agreeable with my taste. Ultra Violet. Pantone’s executive director, Leatrice Eiseman, describes it as “inventive and imaginative…[taking] our awareness and potential to a higher level.” I kind of like that appeal.
“The Pantone Color of the Year has come to mean so much more than ‘what’s trending’ in the world of design; it’s truly a reflection of what’s needed in our world today.” – Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute.
In an effort to show more of this color beyond street style fashion and some Pinterest archives, I wanted to offer a guide for living out 2018 in ultra violet.
